Net zero affordable housing soaring above Honolulu

Net zero affordable housing soaring above Honolulu

Honolulu housing project

This net-zero, 510 unit project was designed to cater to both low income and marketing rate housing needs. Featuring large green open spaces and thoroughfares to encourage walking, bicycling and ease to public transport. At the ground, wide spaces in front of the retail give tenants the chance to open their businesses to the street, increasing activity and breaking down the boundary between public and private realm. Community farms, recreational decks and outdoor open spaces bridge the interior and exterior elements and will give residents access to the outdoors; – to grow their own food; to find a quiet respite; or to enjoy recreational facilities – all for the better health and wellness of the occupants.
