Lowney Architecture is proud to be named a “Best Place to Work” by the Business Journals in both the San Francisco Bay Area and Hawaii regions. Lowney’s Oakland headquarters is recognized as a winner of the 2025 Best Places to Work in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times and Silicon Valley Business Journal. Pacific Business News named the firm’s Hawaii office a winner of Hawaii’s Best Workplaces 2025.
“To be ranked among the ‘Best Places to Work’ in two regions in our inaugural year making the list is an amazing achievement,” said Ken Lowney, president and CEO of the firm. “Designing exceptional spaces for our clients and communities requires a workplace environment where our employees feel professionally and personally motivated and inspired. To have our firm culture recognized among the best in both locations reaffirms that what we’re doing works. I’m proud of our team and what we’ve accomplished.”
The annual “Best Places to Work” awards program highlights companies and firms whose employees rate them the highest on a number of values, such as collaborative culture, work-life balance, professional growth opportunities, benefit offerings, and management practices. The rankings are determined by comprehensive employee surveys administered through a service provided by third-party research company Quantum Workplace, which then scores and ranks participants.
“The success of any organization is directly tied to the fulfillment of its team members,” said Grant Chang, who leads Lowney’s Hawaii office. “Our office has grown exponentially over the past few years, and we have strengthened our commitment to maintaining a positive, collaborative workplace where people feel valued and empowered to share ideas and continually learn. Our people have always been the firm’s greatest strength.”
Winners of the awards will be honored at special events that will take place later this year.
