Berkeley Design Advocates (BDA) is a community organization of architects, landscape architects, planners, builders and design professionals established in 1973 to promote excellence in the built environment of Berkeley and focuses on encouraging and celebrating great building and civic design in Berkeley.
The BDA has announced winners of its 14th Biennial Design Awards. Our student housing project, The Nexus, located at 2539 Telegraph Ave, was among seven honored projects and received a citation award based on its excellence in urban planning and innovative design solutions.
Citation- Innovative Housing
In addition to the BDA’s regular awards, the jury applauds two residential projects for the inventiveness with which they have put land assembly and construction methods to use both in providing additional housing and creating examples that future developers and architects would do well to follow.
