2700 Sloat
San Francisco, CA

Located just two blocks from the Pacific Ocean and overlooking the San Francisco Zoo, 2700 Sloat is a 12-story, affordable high rise in the city’s Parkside neighborhood. The project features two stories of ground floor retail, large terraces on the 7th story, and rooftop gardens on each of the building’s three towers. Nearly all of the building’s 288 units feature heated balconies allowing residents to capture the surrounding views year round.

As a high rise modular building on a Zone IV site prone to liquefaction, the project’s steel structure produces a substantially lighter building than a typical concrete highrise due to a simplified foundation and smaller lateral system.

The need for affordable housing in San Francisco is acute, and the Home SF program, which this project utilized, is designed to deliver the units to market as quickly as possible. 2700 Sloat’s modular program further supports the initiative by shortening the overall construction timeline while providing a safer construction site, and higher quality interiors.
