The Marea Alta creates a place for people of all generations to come together and make a vibrant community where an underutilized parking space existed. This two-phased project is in a prime location—across the street from San Leandro’s BART station and a few blocks from the downtown retail core. Designed for both families and seniors earning between 30-55% of the area’s median income, the building activates San Leandro Boulevard through its mix of uses at the ground floor, including retail space, a childcare facility, and parking. Building amenities include a community room with full kitchen, laundry facilities, bike storage, and a landscaped courtyard with gathering space and a children’s play structure.
