The University of Hawai’i NOAA project will bring much needed family-oriented rental housing to graduate students, junior faculty, and affiliated members of the UH community. Rising 13 floors, each 15,795 sf residential floorplan is efficiently programmed with a unit mix of studios; one bedrooms; and two bedrooms and delivers 360 residential units in total. This efficient layout responds to the parameters and requirements determined by site, cost, schedule, and quality of the project.
In addition to housing, this dynamic and integrated mixed-use development offers amenities designed around the health and wellness of its residences, including a childcare facility, activated retail corner, and programmed roof deck for an alternative place to study, socialize, and relax. The new building will provide a welcoming main entrance at the east facade, with direct access to a pedestrian and public transit-accessible passage way.
